I used to play (very low standard) and had at various times two team mates with prodigious throws. One of them could occasionally even reach the far post.

Just natural ability, otherwise unremarkable players.

hutchinson of chelsea was self taught the technique and was coached by a former goalkeeper.

It can't be taught. My brother was the javelin under 18 world record holder back in the 70s and had a fantastic technique and would often beat much stronger opponents. It's all in the arching of the back combined with the speed of the arm/s.

Then the steroid brigade entered the picture and he packed it in.

I remember Chelsea having a player called John Sparrow who was famous for his throw ins in the 70s.
Of course the average Chelsea fan now is completely unaware of the time before 2003 when they were a normal football club.

So why don't all full backs have the ability- through training- to throw missile throw ins into the area?

Surely if it were as simple as that just training, the teams wouldn't be overlooking such an obvious tactical benefit?

very rarelly is it solely relating to a physical abnormality alone, but it is alwaysearned by hard work, intensive training and a firm desire to accomplish an asset for the team

Not sure about that. The existence of long throw specialists suggests the opposite. I think you can train for it but some humans can just naturally throw it longer. otherwise every team would train their full backs to lob it right into the box all the time rather than using any other player.

Dave Challinor was the archetypal long thrower and he was able to because he could hyperextend his shoulders or something similar. That certainly can't be taught.

I was quite pleased with it! If you like, you can have AnTHROWnio, which I think is better?
